Steven Banks

Director

APFS, CFP™ Chartered FCSI (Financial Planning)

Having started his career in the law as a private client solicitor, where he undertook a broad range of private client matters including advising on and drafting Wills and Trusts, Steven transitioned seamlessly into financial services in January 2000 – ultimately becoming one of a small number of advisers to hold both Certified and Chartered Financial Planner status.

After working within two of the biggest mid-tier accounting practices for over 12 years, Steven determined his future, and the interests of his clients would be best served in an independent owner managed business environment where he was not simply a cog in a wheel and his clients a number on a page.

In August 2012, Steven joined forces with former colleague Phillip Rose and established a highly successful Chartered Financial Planning business in Park Square, Leeds, called Rosebridge – the group now employs over 40 financial specialists with offices in Leeds, Ramsbottom and Chester.

For the last 10 years, Steven has been an integral part of Rosebridge’s in-house Investment Committee, which sets, monitors and reviews the parameters within which its risk rated active and passive model portfolios are managed and provides ultimate direction and oversight of group investment solutions to ensure a consistent approach to client investment outcomes.

This, combined with advising clients on how to successfully invest their wealth across the full spectrum of investment solutions for over 20 years, means Steven has the knowledge and experience to challenge the portfolio construction decisions of Rosebridge Asset Management's investment partners when necessary.

Having been instrumental in the launch of Rosebridge Asset Management in June 2023, Steven is responsible for chairing the Investment Committee, ensuring the company meets its product governance requirements and delivering its discretionary investment management services.
